ABOUT NIRVA

Nirva is building the first AI fashion accessory for your mind — a necklace or bracelet that privately listens only to the wearer to enable proactive journaling, emotion tracking, and life coaching. Think Oura Ring for your Mind.

Backed by Lightspeed and South Park Commons, recognized at CES within 90 days of founding, and launching in the U.S. this fall. Co-founders bring backgrounds from Meta Reality Labs (Quest, Ray-Ban glasses) and fashion industry.

THE ROLE

Nirva is a piece of jewelry people wear every day that helps them understand their own life. We won Best of CES this year and we're backed by Lightspeed. On the growth side there's nothing yet: no ad account, no funnel, no attribution, no cohort data. That's the job, and it's a rarer one than it sounds. Most growth roles hand you someone else's machine and ask you to turn the dial. It's also an unusually good setup to build on: a premium physical product with real margin, a subscription on top, and a brand people want to be seen wearing. Hardware plus subscription economics are more interesting than standard DTC, and you'd be one of the first people solving them in a category that doesn't exist yet. This is the right role if you've built an acquisition engine from zero, you love the craft of it, and you want the whole machine rather than one channel of it.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • First, build the foundation. Checkout, tracking and attribution, landing pages, the path from interest to purchase, base email and SMS flows, and the first two weeks after a box arrives. Everything else runs on top of this.

  • Own the growth number. Purchase conversion, subscription attach, activation, retention, CAC, payback, contribution margin, LTV, returns. One person is accountable, and it's you.

  • Stand up paid acquisition from scratch. Meta, TikTok, Google, YouTube, podcast, affiliates, and whatever else earns its place. Start small, find what's actually incremental, kill the rest fast.

  • Build the creative engine. Hooks, scripts, UGC, testimonial angles, landing page narratives. High volume and weekly learning cycles, without ever shipping something that makes the product look cheap.

  • Own lifecycle and activation. Onboarding, subscription conversion and renewal, winback, referral. For us activation is the whole game: someone who wears it for three days and stops is a churned customer we already paid for.

  • Own the unit economics honestly. Hardware COGS, returns, attach rate, blended payback across device and subscription. Your job includes telling us when the model doesn't work, not just when the dashboard looks good.

  • Protect the brand while you scale it. We sell something people wear on their body every day. Discount ladders, aggressive claims, and performance brain creative are how this positioning dies. You'll hold both sides of that tension.

  • Keep demand and supply in step. Work with hardware and ops so we don't sell more than we can ship, or build more than we can sell.

  • Build the operating system. Weekly channel review, creative testing roadmap, CAC and payback dashboard, cohort reporting, incrementality tests, budget pacing, and a forecast people can plan against.

  • You'll be a team of one for the first six to twelve months. You'll hire behind you when the results earn it, not before. If you're looking for a role where you set direction and a team executes, this isn't it.

    You'll Be Successful If You

    • Take us from zero to a repeatable acquisition engine we can pour money into with a straight face.

    • Prove which channels are incremental and which are platform reported noise, before we've spent real money finding out the hard way.

    • Ship and learn every week across paid, creative, funnel, and lifecycle.

    • Grow the business in a way that makes people trust us more, not less.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years in consumer growth or performance marketing, including at least one engine you built from zero rather than inherited.

  • Direct ownership of paid budgets with real accountability for CAC, payback, contribution margin, and LTV. Seven figure annual spend at some point in your career.

  • Deep hands on work in Meta and TikTok, with working knowledge across Google, YouTube, podcast, affiliates, and emerging channels.

  • Physical product experience. You've sold something with COGS, shipping, returns, and inventory constraints. Software growth instincts alone will mislead you here.

  • Subscription or membership experience: attach rate, activation, retention curves, and churn you actually moved.

  • Strong creative judgment. You can write the hook, brief the creator, and explain why an ad worked, not just report that it did.

  • Analytical fluency across attribution, incrementality testing, cohort analysis, LTV modeling, forecasting, and budget pacing.

  • Taste. You can tell the difference between an ad that converts and an ad that cheapens the brand, and you refuse to ship the second one even when it wins the test.

  • AI native, with agentic tools genuinely built into how you work.

  • Low ego, high urgency, founder level ownership. Set strategy Monday, rewrite ad copy Tuesday, debug attribution Wednesday, cut wasted spend Thursday.

  • Bonus Qualifications

    • You've launched a physical consumer product from zero, with real ship dates and inventory on the line.

    • Background in fashion, beauty, jewelry, or premium wellness, where brand and margin have to survive contact with performance marketing.

    • You already journal, reflect, or otherwise pay close attention to your own life.

COMPENSATION

  • Base salary: 185K-235K, based on experience

  • Meaningful early stage equity

  • Medical, dental, and vision

  • Flexible time off, in person in SF with the team
