ABOUT NIRVA
Nirva is building the first AI fashion accessory for your mind — a necklace or bracelet that privately listens only to the wearer to enable proactive journaling, emotion tracking, and life coaching. Think Oura Ring for your Mind.
Backed by Lightspeed and South Park Commons, recognized at CES within 90 days of founding, and launching in the U.S. this fall. Co-founders bring backgrounds from Meta Reality Labs (Quest, Ray-Ban glasses) and 7+ years in the fashion industry. We're building a movement toward conscious, mindful living — and we need our first marketing leader to help define and own that story.
THE ROLE
As Chief of Staff, you are an entrepreneur without a company of your own — yet. You’ll operate as a second brain for the founders, picking up the highest-priority problems they don’t have time to handle and driving them to done, end to end. One week that’s shipping a product decision; the next it’s a partnership, a legal review, a financial model, or an ops fire. You won’t wait to be told how — you’ll figure it out, take ownership, and make the call. This is a role for someone who thinks and acts like a founder, because you’ll effectively be running mini-companies inside the company.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Product & development — partner on product direction, unblock the team, and drive execution across engineering and design priorities.
Marketing & growth — push campaigns, launches, and narrative forward, from strategy to the details that actually ship.
Partnerships & BD — open doors, run conversations, and close the deals that move the company.
Legal & finance — manage counsel, contracts, cap table, budgets, and the operational scaffolding of a fast-moving startup.
Operations & anything else — whatever is on fire and whatever is about to be. If it’s high-priority and unowned, it’s yours.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Talent is our single biggest lever, and you’ll own a large part of it. You’ll drive recruiting end to end — sourcing exceptional people, running a sharp and fast process, selling candidates on Nirva, and closing them. You’ll build the pipeline, the referrals, and the relationships that let us hire A-players ahead of need.
If you love finding great people and convincing them to bet on something early, this part of the role alone should excite you.
COMPENSATION
An ex-founder — highly preferred
We’re specifically looking for someone who has previously started a company. If you’re a Y Combinator alumni or have gone through a top accelerator, that’s a strong signal and highly preferred. You know what it feels like to own an outcome with no safety net — and you want that intensity again.
Deeply entrepreneurial
You have real founder DNA. You default to ownership, move fast, and are comfortable operating with ambiguity and zero process. You’d rather figure it out than wait for permission.
Self-motivated
Nobody needs to wind you up. You bring your own energy, set your own bar, and go from idea to done without being managed.
Genuinely social
You light up around people and build relationships effortlessly. You can represent Nirva to candidates, partners, press, and the community — and become one of our key ambassadors and evangelists, the face people associate with the brand.
Based in San Francisco / the Bay Area, or open to relocating
This is an in-person role. You want to be in the room.
Compensation
Competitive salary plus meaningful, founding-team-level equity for a founding-level role. Health, dental, and vision included, along with direct access to the founders and a real shot at building your next company.
TO APPLY
Send a short note on why this role fits you, plus anything you've made — a social account you've grown, a community you've built, content you're proud of — to info@nirva.life. Links beat résumés.
